Bridging the G.A.A.P

Bridging the G.A.A.P, Gymnastics for Autism Achievement Program, is designed to incorporate Floor Time Therapy® coupled with the instruction of gymnastics to benefit children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Occupational therapists believe that gymnastics stimulates essential elements of motor skill development, muscle strength and memory, and promotes the retention progress of fine tuned motor skills. Many of the elements of gymnastics also promote vestibular and proprioceptive sensory stimulation. The environment of Atlanta Gymnastics Center encourages the development and retention of both verbal and non-verbal communication and the improvement of social interaction while focusing on acquiring basic gymnastics skills. Contact the Bridging the G.A.A.P. Program Director through the AGC office.
